Yibal Khuff project

Amin Solar PV IPP

Ras Markaz Crude Oil Park

The Oman Ras Markaz Crude Oil Park Project is a key part of the crude oil storage facility invested by Oman Tank Terminal Company L.L.C. The project mainly consists of two sets of single point mooring, one set of subsea manifold, two 42-inch subsea pipelines, one 48-inch onshore pipeline, 13 single buildings and supporting apparatus

Duqm Refinery (Package 1-3)

Project Description

Duqm Refinery and Petrochemical Industries Company L.L.C is a Joint Venture (JV) between OQ and Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI). Duqm Refinery, based in Al Duqm located in the South East Al Wusta Governorate of the Sultanate of Oman. it will have the capacity to process around 230,000 barrels of crude oil per day. Diesel, jet fuel, naphtha and LPG.

Liwa Plastics Project (Package 1-4)

Liwa Plastics Project comprises a gas extraction plant in Fahud; a 300 km pipeline from Fahud to Suhar; a steam cracker plant; and polymer plants (HDPE, LLDPE, and a polypropylene plant) in Suhar Industrial area.

Salalah Ammonia Project

The plant will manufacture 1,000 metric tonnes per day of ammonia. The project will stretch over 12 hectares at Salalah Free Zone. It will include facilities for production, storing and exporting the products of the ammonia plant.

Duqm Dry Dock

Project Description

The project is priming, showcasing the facility’s new ship repair yard. The facility was conceived as a fully integrated ship repair services hub.

The Oman Dry-dock project is being handled by a joint venture between Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering and the government. The $800 million world-class ship repair facility is scheduled to be operational by March 2011 and will have the capacity to handle anything up to 600,000-tonne oil and gas supertankers. When fully on track, the Duqm Drydock will generate an anticipated $210 million in annual revenue and employ 3,500 people by 2020.

Muscat Expressway

The 54 km road, including service roads, 13 bridges and underpasses, 12 interchanges and the largest bridge at Al Khoud. The dual carriageway underlines the fast progress that the nation’s road network is expanding backed by huge government investments in new roads, flyovers, and expressways that will add on to newer landmarks, thanks to the visionary leader of the nation.

Starting from Al Qurum to Naseem Garden, Muscat expressway is a great link for areas like Rabiat al Qurum, Madinat Al Ilam, Madinat A’Sultan Qaboos, Al Khuwair, Bausher, Ghala, Al Ansab, Airport Heights, Muscat International Airport interchanges, Al Rusayl, Nizwa Road, Al Khoud, Halban and Al Naseem. Motorists commuting between Barka and Qurum can look forward to faster and hassle-free travel between their home and work, on this expressway.

Oman Exhibition Center

Project Description

Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC), is being developed within an integrated convention precinct, supported by four hotels; a five star, a two star and a three star hotel, a shopping mall and a commercial business park, which will include Omantel and Omran headquarters.

It was revealed during a presentation and tour of the work site for media last week that the project is divided into two packages with the construction under way (20 per cent complete) for the exhibition centre, which is being carried out by Carillion Alawi. The exhibition hall will be spread over 22,000 sq m with the space to be divided into five halls of 4,500 sq m each. There is also a provision for parking 4,000 vehicles and its contemporary design will facilitate quick and easy exit from the venue following a big conference with an easy link to the upcoming J W Marriot Hotel.

The halls one and two will have a superior fit out. They offer specialised acoustic treatment, advanced lighting halls and rigging requirements to act as a multi-purpose space for larger plenary sessions, concerts or performances, seating up to 10,000 in a theatre style. The individual halls offer a dedicated registration desk, hospitality suites and separate offices for the orgainsers.

Salalah International Airport

Salalah Airport, the main gateway to the Dhofar region in the south. Salalah is the second largest city in Oman and in 2011; its airport handled 513,000 passengers.

The new Salalah Airport will also be completed by 2014 and will replace the existing structure, enabling the airport to handle one million passengers annually. The terminal will have eight boarding air bridges, 10 remote aircraft stands, 25 check-in counters and four self-service kiosks, a new 4,000-metre runway and a cargo terminal to handle 100,000 tons of freight per year.

Royal Opera House

The Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) is Oman’s premier venue for musical arts and culture. The opera house is located in Shati Al-Qurm district of Muscat, Oman. Built on the royal orders of Sultan Qaboos of Oman, the Royal Opera House reflects contemporary Omani architecture, and has a capacity to accommodate maximum of 1,100 people.

The opera house complex consists of a concert theatre, auditorium, formal landscaped gardens, cultural market with retail, luxury restaurants and an art centre for musical, theatrical and operatic productions.

The ruler of Oman, Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said has been always a fan of classical music and arts. In 2001, the sultan ordered the building of an opera house. Initially called ‘House of Musical Arts’, the name ‘Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM)’ became the first in the world equipped with Radio Marconi’s multimedia interactive display seatback system, Mode23. It was officially opened on October 12, 2011.

Muscat Hills Golf & Country Club was the first grass golf course in Oman. Golf in Oman has been developing over the past 3 years, however golf was played on sand Golf Courses for a long period of time prior to Muscat Hills being developed.

Muscat Hills Golf & Country Club is located between the mountains and the sea, the club is only 5 minutes drive from the Muscat International Airport. Muscat Hills Golf and Country Club currently have a temporary clubhouse with a fully licensed bar and food and beverages available.

Muscat International Airport

Muscat International Airport (MCT) is the main gateway to Oman and the base for the national carrier, Oman Air. The airport is directly connected with 55 destinations in 27 countries and is served by 29 international airlines. MCT handled 6.3 million passengers in 2011.

A new Muscat International Airport is currently under construction and will replace the existing one on completion in 2017. With a capacity of 12 million passengers annually, the new terminal building will have 29 boarding air bridges, 10 bus-boarding lounges, 30 remote aircraft stands, 86 check-in counters and 20 self-service kiosks counters, a second runway with a length of 4,000 meters (the original runway will also be extended to 4,000 meters) and a cargo terminal to handle 260,000 tons annually
